Welcome
Hello from the fantasy romance worlds of Jen Lynning. If you like your fantasy with a cup of tea, waistcoats, or a steam powered gadget (and lots of romance), you’ve come to the right place. Jen currently has books published in three series: Treaties of Moial, The Great Balance World, and Once Upon an Enchantment. Check out the Treaties of Moial for a world with Victorian-like manners, magical races, and slow burn to steamy romances. The Great Balance World is steamy steampunk with political intrigue, religious fanatics, and a magic system based on maintaining Balance. And Once Upon an Enchantment is (surprise!) fairy tale retellings with cozy vibes (but still steamy).

Lady Giselle is in want of a husband, preferably the pretend kind.
Giselle longs to be left in peace to study the magical labyrinth she lives in. But her meddlesome family won’t let her forget that Rook Manor is her dowry, not her possession, and won’t truly be hers until she marries. The obvious solution? Find a groom willing to play his part only as long as it takes to satisfy her family. But fake husbands are not abundant, and when her time runs out, Giselle has no options but to turn to the forest—and to the feral Unseelie who lives there.
Lord Sylvan wants revenge . . . and the house that was stolen from him.
Centuries ago, Sylvan lost Rook Manor to a family of treacherous Seelie. The desperate Lady Giselle may not know that history, but he has never forgotten his dreams of revenge. What better way to get back his house than to marry its owner? But before their farce of a wedding can take place, Sylvan must suffer Giselle’s lessons on etiquette and gentlemanlike conduct. And the more time they spend together, the clearer it becomes that the magical mansion has plans of its own . . .

A Princess and the Pea Retelling
A witch hiding her power.
A baron with no interest in marriage.
In a manor full of potential brides, it isn’t the demon that worries them.
Nicholas Huxley, Baron of Marstede, enjoys his solitude. He’d rather deal with the alleged demon haunting his lands than the gaggle of women invading his home. His mother has other plans, however. Not that her plans matter. He won’t change his mind about marriage. Not even for the woman swathed in secrets he’s determined to uncover.
Sadie Winsel learned the hard way that no one wants a mind-reader in their midst. In order to find acceptance, she must live a constrained life. She gives up brewing her beloved potions and keeps her head down to prevent anyone from discovering she is a witch. When a case of mistaken identity offers her the opportunity to step beyond her self-imposed cage, she can’t resist. Nor can she resist the protective baron who pretends to be a grump.
It is only meant to be a fleeting escape, a chance to be herself without the risk of betraying her secret. But when Sadie discovers the forest really is haunted, she must decide which is worse: facing a demon alone or trusting Nicholas with the truth of her power.
